The Ark
Clerkenwell, London 2014
Chemical X’s art debuted in the group show The Ark, curated by Bear Cub Gallery at The Crypt On The Green in Clerkenwell, London from Sept 26 – Oct 2 2014.
The concept was that each artist would produce a pair of artworks based around the biblical stories of The Ark. Chemical X drew a parallel between the ecstasy brought on by religious fervour and the one brought on by self medication plus the role that the dove plays in both.
His contribution, The Prophets of Ecstasy, proved to be a hit with the media whose intense coverage also brought a visit from the Metropolitan Police…
