The Ecstasy Collection
Rush
Rush describes the feeling that occurs soon after imbibing MDMA when the drug kicks in and the effects are at their most intense. A surge of energy, tingling skin, racing heartbeat and sensory distortion bringing with it a sudden euphoria, and intense feeling of happiness, well-being and intense pleasure. A rapid increase in feelings of empathy, affection and emotional warmth towards others, confidence and reduced anxiety.
No art can emulate that.
Background:
Rush was donated by the artist in 2018 as the prize in a money raising competition on behalf of the charity The Loop which aims to physically test the drugs in the possession of individuals at clubs and festivals. They are then able to accurately inform people of the strength (or weakness) of the drug they possess – and if it even is what they think it is. If a dangerous batch or a very strong mix is detected, The Loop are able to communicate in real time to party goers to either ditch them or to treat them with respect and take much smaller doses. Vital work which should be done by the Government rather than relying on a ‘Just say no’ fantasy.
